GUG - Cupes 107-98

GUG outscored Cupes to even the series at 1-1. GUG looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas, agency: Best of You Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Forward Juan Guerrero (205-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Forward Juan Miguel Suero (196-93) replied with 27 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and point guard Jaison Valdez (188-95) added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Cupes. Five Cupes players scored in double figures. Cupes' coach Patrick Alfonso rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.

CPN upset CDP to level things up in the series. CPN made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Victor Liz (193-86) scored 24 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) chipped in 28 points during the contest. American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Rigoberto Mendoza (187-92) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
